Balloon Flights with AllCappadociaTours.com's Balloons :Can't get up in the morning? A balloon flight with AllCappadociaTours.com's Balloons in Cappadocia will be one time it is really worth making an early start. So set your alarm for around 05,00 am and be ready to leave at 5.30 am when the AllCappadociaTours.com's mini-bus arrives to take you to the balloon launch site. On arrival you will be greeted by our staff, and offered hot drinks and snacks as it is likely to be fairly cool before the sun rises fully. You can then watch (Do Not Forget to take your camera or camera machine to take photographs) of the balloons being prepared and inflated by our Crews and Pilots. When the balloons are fully inflated and ready to go you will be invited to climb aboard, and you will then be given a flight safety briefing by your Pilot.
Now the adventure really starts - your Pilot turns on the propane burners to heat up the air in the envelope above your head and in a very short time the balloon rises slowly into the air. Here is no sense of movement, the ground seems to just fall away beneath you and you are flying! Cappadocia has one of the most fantastic landscapes in the world. Wind and water have eroded the soft volcanic rock underlying the region into strange valleys, formations and columns of stone know as 'fairy chimneys', and we hope to give you a unique view of these from the air. Your flight will normally start with a low level trip down one of the valleys, followed by a climb up to around 2000 feet above the ground to give you an overview of the whole region. But nothing is certain in ballooning. A pilot, however good, cannot steer a balloon - it can only go where the wind takes it - and this is what makes a balloon flight such an adventure. No two flights are ever the same - you never know exactly where you are and you are going to go or where you are going to land.
After about 1 hour your Pilot will be looking for a suitable landing site (one which has easy access for the retrieve crews and your minibus). Your Pilot will remind you of the landing procedure, and then bring the balloon down, hopefully in to the arms of the waiting Crew. After landing and when permitted by the Pilot, you may climb out of the basket and then enjoy a celebratory glass of champagne, the balloonists' favourite drink. You will also receive a personalised First Flight Certificate signed by your Pilot and there will be an opportunity to purchase flight souvenirs.
To compete the experience your minibus will take you back to your hotel in time for a well earned breakfast.
